I purchased this gown from "The Find" bridal boutique in Florida, which sold it as a sample gown. The gown is a Monique Lhuillier size 10, which is the same as a street size 4. I have a 27 inch waist and and did not tailor the bodice at all, but tailored the shoulders and added cups to make the bust fit better. The cups can easily be removed. The dress was hemmed for a 5'9" height. I also replaced the crystal buttons with pearl buttons down the back and on the arms.
I absolutely loved this gown and it gave me the timeless feel I was hoping for on my wedding day. It is incredibly lightweight and easy to move in. The gown is in excellent shape, and I only wore it for the civil ceremony and dinner. The lace is very delciate which can result in tiny holes, that we easily fixed by taking to a seamstress and having them move some of the lace appliques to cover any small holes.
My dream was to have a Monique Lhuillier gown but not break the bank and the quality is unmatched. I am really hoping to pass this gown on to someone else who has been dreaming of wearing one of her lace gowns and feel timeless on their big day.
