Beautiful, delicate Monique Lhuillier Gweneth dress. This dress is from her Fall 2014 collection. The dress features gorgeous, intricate beadwork, sequins, embroidery and appliques all in a subtle vine pattern that is truly stunning.
The color of this dress has been described as “oyster”. The top layer of beaded organza is ivory, beneath that there is a cream layer of Chantilly lace and beneath that a layer of latte-colored silk to give it the subtle color that stands out well against any skin tone (see attached photos of other brides wearing The Gweneth). The last 6 photos are of this actual dress.
It was sold in stores as late as 2017, but there are no new versions of this dress being sold anywhere anymore. I recently purchased this dress as a sample. It is a sample size 8 and has NOT been altered or worn in any weddings, but it has definitely been tried on a few times. There are a few loose or missing beads and a small tear in the lace on the upper back to the left of the zipper (see photo #6). I have been advised that these can all be repaired.
The is also some dirt on the inside of the bust from all the trying on. I have not dry cleaned the dress because I was advised by top bridal alterations experts in New York City not to clean the dress until after it has been altered.
This dress originally sold in stores for $10,000, but I bought it at a discount and I have added additional discounts to account for the damages. Please let me know if you have any questions.
